Zoom Meetings – Meeting Invitations


The meeting organiser should send you an invitation to the meeting which includes dialling information for how to join the Zoom conference.

This article should help you discern what each aspect of the invitation is responsible for.

Joining the meeting through PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android?

This part of the email is relevant to you.

By clicking on the URL highlighted, you will be taken to a page where it will prompt you to either download Zoom, or Open zoom meetings.

Joining the meeting through a telephone call?

This part of the email is relevant to you.

Mobile Devices

Simply follow the instructions provided by copy-pasting the phone numbers into your phone's dialler, or enter it manually.

You will be asked to enter your Meeting ID. Simply enter the Meeting ID provided in the email via your phone's keypad, and it will dial through.

 

Telephony information for joining Zoom Meetings via phonecall

Joining the meeting through a Deakin Conference Room (Cisco Touch 10, Touch 8, AMX or ACA?)

This part of the email is relevant to you.

Take note of the SIP Password, as it will be relevant if you are trying to connect to a meeting.

You can save time if the dialling address has "@zoom.aarnet.edu.au" in it by simply dialing the shortcut with "@zaa" following the Meeting ID. For example, "5227982666@zaa". (This only works if you are using a Deakin Conference Room).
