How to Fully Uninstall Cisco AnyConnect (Including Profiles) in Windows


Note: This guide is not intended for Deakin-managed (SOE) Windows machines. It is only applicable to the following computers:
  • a Non-Deakin (BYO) Windows machine
  • a Deakin-owned Windows machine that has a non-Deakin image installed

You will require admin rights on your computer to complete these instructions.

  1.  Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall all Cisco AnyConnect programs. 

    Inside Control Panel's "Uninstall or change program" menu, locate any instance of Cisco Anyconnect and uninstall them.

  2. Under C:\ProgramData\Cisco, delete the folder named "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client". 

    Inside your C:\ Drive (C:\ProgramData\Cisco) delete all folders that reference AnyConnect.

  3.  Under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Cisco, delete the folder named "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client".

    In your C:\ drive's AppData folder (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Cisco), locate and delete any mention of Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobiltiy Client
