Should I store files on my C or D drive?

University files should not be saved to the C or D drive on your computer, as these drives are not backed up. You can store personal files on your D drive - however, if you do decide to do so, please ensure that you regularly back up your data, as it will not be backed up automatically. eSolutions are not responsible for the restoration of any data that is stored locally (e.g. on the C or D drives).

Your Deakin home directory and Deakin file shares are backed up.

It is recommended that you store your work files on a Deakin file share, and your own files in your Deakin home directory (H:\My Documents), which you will have access to whenever you are connected to the Deakin network.
