Should I store files on my Deakin Desktop computer's hard drive?
University files should not be saved to the C or D drive on your computer, as these drives are not backed up. You can store personal files on your D drive - however, if you do decide to do so, please ensure that you regularly back up your data, as it will not be backed up automatically. eSolutions are not responsible for the restoration of any data that is stored locally (e.g. on the C or D hard drives).
It is recommended that you store your work files on a Deakin file share, and your own files in your Deakin home directory (H:\My Documents), which are both regularly backed up and accessible whenever you are connected to the Deakin network.
