You can definitely take your service number with you when you leave the university, as long as you follow these instructions.
You need to advise the IT Service Desk if you are going on unpaid leave. You can be invoiced for your call charges for a period of up to 12 months. Please specify the dates for your unpaid leave and an address of where the invoices are to be sent to.
