In the event that we are unable to provision your software (via the software allocation process) or Deakin Shield permissions are preventing you from being able to work, you can request an exemption. You are required to provide a short business case outlining why the access is required, and to nominate a Manager who can approve your request.

After you submit your request, you will receive an email to complete a Cybersecurity Awareness Training module with KnowBe4.
You will be required to complete this to continue.
If your request is approved and training has been completed, you will be able to use Administrator Access provided you follow the steps below:

If your request is approved and training has been completed, you will be able to use Limited Administrator Access provided you follow the steps below:
Administrator (Admin) Access to Deakin Shield workstations has been removed, greatly reducing the risk of malware/virus infection on our managed devices as we now scan software before it is made available ensuring it is free from malware.
Most users request Administrator Access to install software not offered by Deakin Software Store, or Self Install Share.
