How do I know the Syncplicity desktop application is working?

When you install the Syncplicity desktop application on a Windows computer, an icon is placed in the task bar - however it may auto hide this icon in the “Notification Area Icons” area.
This means that when Syncplicity is updating, you may miss the icon changes to show that it is working.

We recommend to customise the “Notification Area Icons” for Syncplicity to “Show icon and notifications” so that it is always visible.

For Windows 10

  1. Right click on the show hidden icons icon



  2. Select Settings



  3. Scroll down to the "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" option and click that option



  4. In the window that pops up, scroll down and find "Syncplicity Client Application"
