At your first appointment with the Disability Resource Centre (DRC):
- develop an understanding of how your disability impacts on your studies.
- discuss your documentation if necessary.
- ask questions about strategies you may have already developed to cope with your studies and explore some ideas that may assist you with your studies.
- ask about your strengths and abilities, make suggestions or discuss some of the university support services available.
- discuss if an Access Plan and/or Exam Adjustments are required.
- work with your Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) to ensure reasonable adjustments will support you with your studies.
A draft Access Plan may be developed at the time of your appointment, depending on time constraints and requirements discussed at your appointment.
You are an instrumental part of developing you Access Plan to support you and your studies.
